Story
Amahl & The Night Visitors is a heart-warming story about a crippled boy who is healed through faith. Three Kings are following the star to the Christ-child and come upon Amahl and his mother's house in the night. The Kings need shelter and ask if they can stay there. Amahl and his mother are so poor that they have nothing to feed the Kings. They call upon their shepherd friends to help bring food and drink to the Kings. There is a dance to help celebrate the Kings visit. You'll enjoy the combination of drama and comedy that Menotti wrote into this timeless story. Amahl and the Night Visitors is a production that is accessible to all ages. The musical style is similar to music written by John Williams with a Middle Eastern flavor.
